WSSAT Privacy Policy

    The Web Standards Self Assessment Tool website (the “Site”) is administered by the Department of Internal Affairs. The purpose of this privacy policy is to let users of the Site know when we collect personal information and what we do with it. We do not use, share or transfer personal information except as set out in this policy.

    • browsers used when accessing the Site.

    This Site generates session cookies for the purpose saving a user's location within the self-assessment tool. These cookies, which can be found on your computer, are named SmeIndex, .ASPXAUTH and ASP.NET_SessionId. The Site also generates a number of more persistent cookies for site analytics purposes. These cookies, which can be found on your computer, are named __utma (persistent), __utmb and __utmc (expire in 30 minutes) and __utmz (expires in 6 months).

    Personal and other information disclosed to us on or via our website may constitute public records and be retained to the extent required by the Public Records Act 2005. We may also be required to disclose such information under the Official Information Act 1982 or to a Parliamentary Select Committee or Parliament in response to a Parliamentary Question.
