Self-Assessment Timeline
February 2011
DIA sends out letters to government agency Chief Technology Officers and Directors of Communication seeking their support in the self-assessment process. Agencies are asked to identify who their agency representative is and report this back to the DIA. This person, the agency administrator (AA), is responsibe for managing their website self-assessments and who has access to the self-assessment tool (assessors). The AA is also the contact person with the DIA.
February 2011
DIA contacts all appointed AA’s and confirms their status.
21 February 2011
DIA runs a workshop for all AA’s on how to use the Web Standards Self-Assessment Tool (WSSAT) at its Wellington headquarters on Waring-Taylor Street.
20 July 2011
WSSAT is deployed and AA’s receive an email from DIA with a link to the Self-Assessment Tool.
Once the AA has activated their account, they are able to designate who can perform website assessments on their behalf (assessors).
Late August 2011
Agency CIO’s and AA’s receive an email reminding them that the reporting period for the self-assessment will close on Friday 9 September.
9 September 2011
The reporting period for the 2011 self-assessment period closes. AA’s still have access to WSSAT but all assessments completed after this time peroid will be recorded as assessments for the 2012 reporting period.
Mid 2012
DIA contacts all agency CIO’s and AA’s to update the list of authorised AA’s and remind them of the new reporting period.
September 2012
The second NZGWS reporting period closes. The WSSAT is still available to auditors but assessments made after this date will be reported for the year 2013.
