Web Standards
The New Zealand Government Web Standards (NZGWS) help ensure equitable access to online government information and services.
NZGWS 2.0 consists of the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, supplemented by a "New Zealand layer" of additional requirements. The Web Standards Overview explains how the Standards are structured.
We recommend that agencies review the documentation and guidance regarding WCAG 2.0. Agencies should also refer to Interpreting the Standards, and undertake WCAG conformance testing as resources permit.
