The New Zealand Web Standards 2.0 were released in March 2009 and replace the previous version, the New Zealand Government Web Standards 1.0 (below).  See Meeting the standards for more information.

The Recommendation

Recommendation 32.1.4 Agency having a record-keeping strategy. The agency has a record-keeping strategy and associated process, which encompasses all documents the agency makes available on its web site(s).

Guide to this recommendation

Though this is a recommendation (as opposed to a standard), it does not relieve your agency from its the requirements to have and maintain a record-keeping strategy. This is simply recommending that you include your record-keeping strategy as part of your agency’s web strategy.

Rationale for this recommendation

A component of the Web Strategy, which the agency is expected to construct and produce for one or more web sites under the agency's control.
