About this wiki
The intent of this wiki is to provide a collaborative website where anyone who is interested in the New Zealand Government Web Standards and Recommendations and Web Standards compliance can share knowledge and make suggestions on the future development of the Standards.
Getting started
There are two ways to use this wiki:
- Browse the New Zealand Government Web Standards and Recommendations (including testing tips, good examples and discussion)
- Register as a wiki user and start asking questions, adding useful information, and suggesting changes to the Standards
To see what other wiki users have posted, check out the discussion page for any standard or recommendation or look at the list of recent comments.
All contributions (no matter how much or how little experience you have) are welcome. New users should review the editing policy and other policies listed in the terms of use before editing.
Tips on using the wiki

- If you want to say something about a particular Standard, go to the comments tab for that Standard
- Wiki language is very simple to use - you can generally start editing by copying the way other users have formatted their text and there is a quick guide to commonly used wiki language in the left hand column of this wiki
- Don't forget to sign your contribution by typing in --~~~~ to enter your username and a timestamp when you save the page
- Under our vandalism policy, we don't allow images and scripts to be added to the Web Standards wiki but you can link to images and code examples on other websites
